I was 23 when my company transferred me from Argentina to Brazil. New language, new office culture, not a single familiar face. I still remember the fear — the kind where you can't even follow the jokes in meetings.
The company hired an extremely expensive agency to help me with everything: housing, paperwork, the thousand questions I didn't even know how to ask. It worked. And what I remember most, all these years later, isn't any specific errand — it's not having felt alone.
Today I lead teams across more than 6 countries in an international role. But I still think about that version of me at 23. And I think about how many people are arriving in León right now, living the same thing — with no one to guide them through it.
That's why I do this alongside that leadership role — not because it's any less serious, but because I want to be, for someone else, the person I was lucky enough to have.
